Just In: Resort Scarves & Wraps

Resort scarves & wraps at www.SolEscapes.com.

We are pleased as punch to announce a new collection of beautiful resort scarves and wraps.  Gottex and Profile by Gottex bring us vivid colors and ethereal fabrics, all perfect for a tropical setting.

These scarves are hand-painted in colorful, bold patterns, any of which would pair seamlessly with a vacation wardrobe.  For example, Jasmine is quintessential tropics, with its pinks, yellows, aquas and greens in an abstract floral pattern.  Tropical Mirror combines exotic purple, pink and red blooms with black and white stripes.  Royal Peacock proudly joins lush teals and deep purples in an eye-catching graphic print.  Dragonfly brings us drama with a rich mixture of blues, emerald, white, and highlights in pink.  And finally, Aztec boasts an intensely hued tribal pattern in hot pinks, orange and black.

We love multi-tasking travel items, and these scarves work hard and look great while doing it.  Starting with the obvious, a scarf makes a beautiful neck accessory, highlighting the face and adding instant color to any outfit.  There are many ways to tie a scarf, so a single scarf can have multiple looks.  But what else can a scarf or wrap do?  On a chilly evening, or in an air-conditioned building, a scarf can double as a shawl, draped around the shoulders for warmth.  Heading to the beach?  Spending the day poolside?  Bring your scarf!  Wrap it around your waist, pareo-style, for a quick and elegant swimsuit cover-up.  Wear it as a head-covering for a glamorous look.  While traveling to and from your warm weather destination, you’ll appreciate having a wrap handy – while on the chilly plane, and when you touch down in winter weather.

A scarf or wrap is a superstar when it comes to simplifying the task of packing for your cruise or resort holiday.  Pack neutral clothing pieces that easily mix and match, such as white, navy, black and other solids.  Bring several boldly colored scarves to add a punch of color and drama to your outfits.  For example, a simple white dress becomes a gorgeous resort ensemble when a Dragonfly scarf is draped around the neck.  Or, make a color statement: start with a crisp blouse in bright pink, then top with a brightly patterned Aztec scarf.  Tropical Mirror is striking when paired with black.  Envision a black shell, white skirt and Tropical Mirror wrapped around the waist: simply beautiful.  For more inspiration on wearing scarves and wraps, see 6 Ways to Wear a Scarf

All scarves in the new line-up are a generous 80” by 28”, making them large enough to act as a shawl or pareo.  But the fine fabrics are compact, so not only do they work well as a scarf or head-wrap, they also pack small in your luggage or carry-on.  The Gottex scarves are 20% silk and 80% rayon, while Profile by Gottex scarves are 100% rayon.  All the scarves have a touch of sheerness, giving them a lovely airiness.

Beautiful Kaanapali Beach
Beautiful Kaanapali Beach in Maui

Though it’s hard to complain about the Spring-like weather we’ve been experiencing here in Northern California, Kaanapali Beach beckons.  On Maui’s lush west side, Kaanapali boasts the whole package: tantalizingly blue water, a 3 mile white sand beach, and activities and amenities to suit everyone.  Kaanapali is bordered by beautiful hotels, tempting restaurants and inviting shops.  Activities abound: snorkeling, boat tours, sailing, kayaking, surfing… you name it.  Watch the cliff divers at Puu Kekaa, enjoy a round at one of Kaanapali’s championship golf courses, or just splash in the waves and lounge in the sand.
