Beach of the Week: Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

Gorgeous Grace Bay

Like a picture on a postcard, the beach at Grace Bay is a wide, graceful stretch of white sugar sand at the edge of crystal clear turquoise water.  Grace Bay, on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, is 12 miles long.  12 beautiful miles to meander, stopping occasionally for a bite to eat at one of the luxury resorts that border the beach.  Activities abound: parasailing, banana boats, kayaking and excursions.  For snorkelers, there are two popular spots, Smith’s Reef and Coral Gardens, that are home to lots of colorful fish, rays, sea turtles, and other sea critters.  Hmmm, with so many miles of gorgeous beach, and so many fun activities, it sounds like a nice, long stay is in order.

Have you visited Grace Bay?  What was your favorite part?
