Beach of the Week: Anse Source D’Argent, Seychelles

Breathtaking Anse Source D’Argent, Seychelles

This gem is rumored to be the most photographed beach in the world, and we can easily see why!  Located on the island of La Digue in the Seychelles, Anse Source D’Argent is striking, to say the least.  Its huge wind-smoothed boulders tower over the silky pink sand and ultra-clear water.  Palm trees are dotted throughout the landscape in a scene that can easily be called Paradise.

Anse Source D’argent has shallow, calm waters, which would be perfect for young children.  Sea life is bountiful, so snorkeling is recommended.  Since La Digue is a quiet, slow-paced island (transportation by ox-cart or bicycle is the norm), you won’t find a lot of hoppin’ beach bars or swanky resorts here.  But bring a picnic, grab a piece of sand and revel in the beauty.  And don’t forget to take some pictures, the beach has a reputation to uphold!

What’s your beach preference: sleepy and relaxing, or a hoppin’ beach party scene?.
