Style: Nine Great Sun Hats for Spring Break

www.solescapes.com

Springtime!  Daffodils are blooming, grass is sprouting, baby chicks are hatching, and we’re all escaping!  Time for Spring Break!  It’s our chance to take a break from it all – school, work, snow, rain.  Some of us seek out sunny, relaxing places.  For others, it’s all about fun, party scenes.  And still others take the chance to explore new, interesting places.  Regardless of how you’ll spend your Spring Break, odds are good that you’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, which means you’ll need a fabulous sun hat.  Here are some excellent hats to fit any Spring Break.

  1. City Exploration – A whole week to discover one of our nation’s wonderful cities would be a treat.  NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco… they all have so much to offer.  A fedora, such as Sammy D, gives slick city style, while protecting your face from the sun.
  2. Island Escape – Heading to an all-inclusive resort on a tropical island?  Sounds like a great way to escape.  Morgana is a resort loving beauty!  And she’s packable, to boot!
  3. Dude Ranch – For a unique family adventure, how about a Dude Ranch!  Saddle a horse, round up some cattle, and eat a hearty meal around a campfire.  Or, leave the hard work to the real cowboys and relax around the ranch pool (there must be a pool, right?).  However you spend your time at the ranch, be sure to look the part with Don’t Mess with Texas.
  4. Staycation – Plane flight not required – a great break can be had right your neck o’ the woods.  A staycation is a chance to bust out of your normal routine and play tourist in your own area.  Whether taking day trips, or staying somewhere overnight, Pitch Perfect is a packable, stylish companion.
  5. Party Time – Heading for a classic College Spring Break destination, like Havasu or Daytona Beach?  Keep the sun fun (and safe) with a cute floppy number like Malibu.
  6. Mountain Retreat – A week at a mountain cabin sure sounds serene!  For those forest hikes and meadow picnics, a hat is necessary equipment.  Try Camp Buy Me Love, it comes in white, brown or black, and its 4.5” brim will offer lots of shade.  Bonus: it’s packable and washable!
  7. Theme Parks – whether you’re heading to Orlando, Anaheim, or Dollywood, you know you’ll be spending a lot of time in the sun.  A Castaway bucket hat is super fun with its playful fringe.  But it’s also a hard worker: it provides sun protection, it’s packable, and – great news, since you’ll have cotton-candy-fingered kids around - it’s washable!
  8. Sporty Adventures – Baseball fans taking in some Spring Training?  Avid golfers, hitting the links in sunny Arizona?  Tennis, anyone?  A visor/hat combo is for you!  Regatta is a cute cap made of cotton twill and with a generous raffia brim.  Simply zip off the crown, and it’s a fashionable visor.
  9. Hawaiian Interlude – Say Aloha to winter with the ever popular family vacation destination.  The Beach Comber is a great match for Hawaii’s relaxed vibe.

Where are you heading for Spring Break, and what will you wear on your head?
